Louise Furst Sets An Example That All Should Follow
Putting Others First

Conway BPW recognizes woman
Tuesday, July 31, 2001

Conway Business and Professional Women recently cited Louise Furst as a "Woman Who Makes a Difference" in the Faulkner County area.

Mrs. Furst is the volunteer coordinator for the Victim Services Center in the Prosecuting Attorney's office and serves as a board member of Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) of the 20th Judicial District. She is also a volunteer with STOP DV and has served as secretary for the Women's Shelter of Central Arkansas Inc.

A native of Allentown, Penn., Mrs. Furst has performed volunteer work for several years in Conway as well as in Pennsylvania. Mrs. Furst has previous business experience as an officer manager and also in retail sales. She is married to Ed Furst and has three daughters and five granddaughters.

According to a prepared news release from Conway BPW, Mrs. Furst's work philosophy is to do her very best, set examples, and encourage others to be proud of who they are and the work they do. Closely linked to this is her life philosophy: To live her life to the fullest while helping others, enjoying her family and friends, and keeping God as her leader. Mrs. Furst's decision to become involved with victim services has enabled her to help others who find themselves in desperate situations.

Each month Conway BPW recognizes a woman in Faulkner County who is making a difference in the lives of both men and women in the area through their occupations or through volunteer efforts. Conway BPW is affiliated with BPW/USA, whose mission is to promote full participation, equity and economic self-sufficiency for America's working women.
